Versatile industrial sensors and sensor systems Determining positions with pinpoint accuracy is an essential task in numerous industrial processes. Depending on the application in question, the process may involve determining the position of linear shifting units such as workpiece or tool carriers, detecting angles for valve actuators, or even monitoring the position of a vehicle on an automated conveyor in storage, warehousing, and material handling operations.
Pepperl+Fuchs offers non-contact industrial sensors and sensor systems for use in these applications.
Inductive positioning systems Path measurement systems are available to determine precise linear and rotational movements. Pepperl+Fuchs’ inductive positioning system works flawlessly in dusty and dirty environments. Measurement lengths range from just a few millimeters to several meters, or an angular range of 360°. In addition to standard analog outputs to display the position, switch point outputs for limit value are easily configured. These positioning systems make it possible to react quickly to process changes.
Distance measurement sensors Distance measurement sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs use the optical concept of Pulse Ranging Technology (PRT).
With modern Pulse Ranging Technology (PRT) distances up to 300 m with accuracies of 0.1 mm are easily achieved.
